About the Role
As a Relationship Manager, you’ll be responsible for building partnerships with community-based organizations. You’ll identify strong partners, pitch our services, and onboard new partners. You’ll own a portfolio of partners to maintain regular touchpoints and work collaboratively to cultivate long-term relationships that drive consistent, high-quality referrals.

Key Responsibilities
Partnership Identification & Outreach
- Research and identify high-potential partner organizations aligned with our mission
- Conduct warm and cold outreach via email, phone, and virtual meetings
- Pitch services clearly and compellingly, tailoring the proposition to each organization
Partnership Development & Management
- Onboard new partners
- Serve as the primary relationship owner for partners in Illinois
- Maintain regular touchpoints with partners (monthly / bi-monthly, depending on partner)
- Build trust-based relationships with frontline staff and leadership
Performance & Growth
- Track partner referral activity and identify opportunities to increase engagement
- Proactively seek results (e.g., more referrals, high-quality referrals, high staff adoption)
- Share insights and feedback from partners to improve processes and offerings
Training & Engagement
- Coordinate and host partner trainings (virtual and occasional in-person)
- Plan and host quarterly in-person touchpoints with partners (e.g. site visits or events)
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in partnerships, account management, community engagement, sales, or relationship management
- You are scrappy and a demonstrated “go-getter” who proactively seeks out connections and cultivate relationships
- Strong research and outreach skills; comfortable initiating conversations
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple relationships independently
- Comfortable being accountable for results and follow-through
- Ability to travel locally for in-person partner meetings and quarterly touchpoints
- Plus: experience working with nonprofits, healthcare, social services, or public benefits
Role Details
- Part-time 25 hours per week
- Region-based ownership
- Some evening, weekend, or occasional travel may be required for partner events
- Compensation: $25/hour - $30/hour
- This position is a 1099 Independent Contractor role
